I could not more recommend a trip with Joe, Tamara and Annie! I've found on other workshops, just because someone is a good photographer, doesn't make them a good teacher. The opposite is true for Joe! Both he and Tamara were amazingly generous with their time and expertise. Fantastic!
And Annie! Every detail has been thought of and organized! Amazing!

The Costa Rica Trip was extremely well organized and planned. From the accommodations, transport, food, guides, photographic opportunities and the instructions and education were all exceptional. What pushed this experience over the edge was the accessibility to Joe for questions and one to one conversations. The learning never stopped. I believe that these expeditions offer two things: opportunity to photograph new and interesting subjects and education. On this trip both aspects were in equal supply,
As with any travel one gets out of it what you put in. With Annie's organization and planning and Joe's accessibility it would be hard not to come away feeling totally fulfilled and energized.

The October 2023 Costa Rica workshop was an experience of a lifetime. Impeccable planning and organization provided exceptional photography opportunities, while the education and mentoring from Joe and Tamara brought about new possibilities for my photography. Just the right number of participants who got along well with the photography activities and social events.

This workshop alternated wildlife opportunities with model shoots. It involved more people than I usually travel with. I've been on a number of organized photography trips. But that being said it was exceptionally well organized, and provided plenty of one-to-one time with the staff, including critiques and portfolio reviews.

Great group, made new friends and rekindled old friendships. This is a beautiful country and we felt welcome by all we met. The accommodations and arranged meals were excellent and all of the logistics worked perfectly…It wasn't our first workshop with Joe and will not be our last. Bottom line: we had a blast and so glad we went!

The two workshops were in Ecuador and Norway and included Tamara Lackey who is not only a great photographer, but also a whiz at Photoshop which has helped me a lot. The crew’s focus is on teaching, which is superb…

The Norway workshop was so well planned and executed. We were exposed to a variety of locales and shooting opportunities. The class time with Joe and Tamara gave great insight into taking and choosing photos along with educational tips on editing software… Overall a great experience.

Well organized and planned out (the Norway workshop). The accommodations were first class, the excursions were well planned and executed, even the open-air bus ride in Oslo (just above zero) was something to remember. Working with Joe and Tamara to improve my camera skills was invaluable. Annie made every event come off like clockwork.
