It’s International Dance Day, so thought I’d head into the weekend with just a collection of pretty dance pix I’ve shot over the years, including a few I rarely put out there. Some, I believe, have never seen the page or the screen, and have always been in files. It started with the photo above, of a young dancer at Lincoln Center, during a workout. This one I have shown before, as it was the starting point of a career long fascination.

Friend and amazing dancer, Jennifer Curry Wingrove, San Diego, California
Dancers in the desert, Las Vegas
Herman Cornejo of ABT dances Sinatra Suites on the streets of NY
Workout, Beijing Dance Academy
The Golden Idol, from La Bayadere, Bolshoi Ballet, Moscow
Underwater, San Diego
The startling beauty of the world of dance has always commanded the attention of photographers everywhere. Happy weekend to all!
